A national stage
“Space Technologies and Applications: Earth and Beyond 2025” was a national ideathon organised by IIT Tirupati in collaboration with ISRO, celebrating National Space Day 2025. Over 400 schools from across India participated; only 100 were shortlisted for the final round at the IIT Tirupati campus.
SmartBin QR
Kaushik, Rana and Mahadev from SPR School of Excellence, Kamareddy, noticed their school had no waste segregation system and mixed waste was harming hygiene and the environment. They designed SmartBin QR, a QR-code-based bin system that categorises waste at the point of disposal. The prototype was built without any coding.
